Did the Juno Awards just rekindle a romance?

Avril Lavigne and Nickelback lead singer Chad Kroeger were arm-in-arm on the red carpet in Calgary for the Canadian music awards show, despite announcing their split last fall.

Not so fast — the duo set the record straight quickly.

A day before the event, Lavigne posted an Instagram photo of the former couple landing in a private plane in Calgary, and another with a caption saying she was making the trip to support Nickelback.

And her story did not change on the red carpet when the pair stopped to speak with etalk.

"I got tired walking around with my band members, so I went and found hottie here," the 41-year-old told etalk, nodding to Lavigne.

Kroeger and his bandmates were nominated for Rock Album of the Year, and also presented the tribute to Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee Burton Cummings of the band, The Guess Who.

The "Girlfriend" singer stepped out in a simple, long-sleeved skater dress with metallic pumps. Lavigne had been diagnosed with Lyme disease last year, which left the 31-year-old bedridden for five months.

Although the two artists deny sparks are flying once again, they have been spending more time together than most separated couples. They met while working on Lavigne's fifth album, and since breaking up, have hit the studio together, shared videos of jam sessions, and also attended Clive Davis' pre-Grammy gala earlier this year.

"Chad and I have a great friendship. We started in the studio together working and we still work together, so it's important for us just to keep that relationship," the Napanee, Ont. native told ET Canada on the red carpet.

Alessia Cara may consider herself a "plain Jane," but she sure does clean up well!

The 19-year-old Canadian songstress looked stunning on the 2016 Junos red carpet Sunday evening, donning a floor-length Tadashi Shoji sequinned gown with mesh inserts.

And to accept her Juno, Cara donned a similar tuxedo ensemble, consisting off black high-waisted pants with a white pinstripe on the sides, and a white blouse with a neck scarf. She paired the outfit with black and white creepers.

A five-year-old boy named Sir from Hapeville, Georgia, might just be the next iconic fashion designer of our time, according to his mother Tangela Washington.

Since the age of two and a half, Sir has been quite particular about his clothes — right down to the fit. And by four, he began asking his family to teach him to sew. Now, at the age of five, he is designing and sewing his own creations by hand!

Washington also told HuffPost Canada by email that her son designs clothing for other people as well.

To top it all off, it seems like Sir could have a modelling career ahead of him as well, because the kid's definitely got his angles down.

Check out some of his designs (and poses) below!

One night, three award shows and a whole lot of incredible fashion. That's what went down in the world of style on Sunday night.

Here at home, Calgary played host to the 2016 Juno Awards that saw our hometown stars, including The Weeknd and Alessia Cara, showing off their Canadian-bred talent.

Down in Los Angeles, the third annual iHeartRadio Awards went down with Taylor Swift dominating the night. And in Viva Las Vegas, southern charm was in full-force as country stars gathered for the 2016 Academy of Country Music Award which definitely brought the heat.

Here are the 10 standout looks from Sunday's jam-packed award show night:

1) Heather Marks, Junos 2016

heather marks

The international model headed back to her hometown of Calgary where she dazzled in a Prabal Gurung silk and chiffon camisole dress with sequinned details and a zipper accent on the Junos red carpet.

2) Carrie Underwood, ACM Awards 2016

It was another red carpet win for Carrie Underwood who stunned in a sheer gold Elie Madi gown. The intricate beaded detailing on the frock was accompanied by a smoky eye, nude lip and Underwood's signature blond hair.

3) Zendaya, iHeartRadio Music Awards

zendaya

Zendaya brought a whole lot of sexy to the iHeartRadio music awards with her red velvet suit. The 19-year-old triple threat opted to keep her jacket open to expose a fierce leather bralette. As for her beauty game, Zendaya kept things casual and cool with a wispy fringe and bold brow.

4) Lights, Junos 2016

Rocking nude from head-to-toe, Lights pulled off this daring ensemble in the chicest way possible. And the designer behind the frock? None other than her "multitalented" mother. In an Instagram post, the Timmins, Ont.-native said she and her mother modelled the dress after "Final Fantasy" and Rey from "Star Wars."

"Thanks mommy for enabling me to walk like a super hero today," the 28-year-old wrote.

5) Nicole Kidman, ACM 2016

Supporting husband Keith Urban on the ACM red carpet in Las Vegas, Kidman was a vision in a sheer Alexander McQueen gown with floral and butterfly embroidery. The floor-length, long-sleeved frock included a high-neckline with starry details. The Australian beauty opted to keep her silky hair straight and her beauty game simple with soft pink lips and a lined eye.

6) Taylor Swift, iHeartRadio Awards 2016

You can never go wrong with an all-black look, and Taylor Swift proved that last night in Los Angeles at the iHeartRadio awards. Donning a body-hugging sequined Saint Laurent jumpsuit, the "Bad Blood" songstress shone for her "last award show for a while," as she said in her Album of the Year acceptance speech.

7) Katy Perry, ACM 2016

katy perry

She may be a pop star, but Katy Perry is a total country girl at heart. The 31-year-old, alongside Jeremy Scott, arrived on the red carpet wearing a metallic baby blue biker jacket and matching fringe skirt with a cotton candy pink undershirt and cowboy boots. Perry topped off the look with a fuchsia pink lip, beehive hair, and of course, fishnet stockings.

Justin Bieber Gets Dreadlocks And People Are NOT Happy

Justin Bieber was noticeably absent at last night's Juno Awards, mainly because he was busy performing at the iHeartRadio Music Awards instead.

And while we can forgive him for missing a Canadian music awards show (despite the fact that he is, well, Canadian), we're having a hard time letting his latest choice of hairstyle slide.

518978638

Yes, those are dreadlocks. And yes, that's what Bieber decided to wear to the awards (along with that Rangers jersey which just goes to show he really doesn't give a sh*t).

justin bieber

Of course, there's a lot of controversy surrounding the 22-year-old's dreads, with many accusing Bieber of cultural appropriation as the style is a traditional black hairstyle. Many were quick to point out the double standard when it comes to black hairstyles, alluding to Giuliana Rancic's negative response to Zendaya's Oscars 2015 dreadlocks.

"People are annoyed cause when black people wear this style they are stereotyped as druggies and are 'unkempt' look at Zendaya for example. She had fake dreads and she was stereotyped, But when people such as JB [...] wears them its suddenly 'the latest trend,'" wrote one Instagram user.

"The Breakfast Club" radio host Charlamagne Tha God also chimed in on Twitter, writing, "Justin Bieber didn’t get the memo that white people look stupid with dreadlocks huh?"

But low and behold the "Sorry" singer is, ironically, not sorry about his offensive hairstyle. The New York Post says Biebs reportedly told Big Sean backstage at the awards show, "[People say] you wanna be black and all that stuff, I’m like 'Its just my hair.'"

We guess Justin's cornrows were also a case of "just his hair," though he did push the blame onto then-girlfriend (maybe current?) Hailey Baldwin for making him get the "douche bag" hairstyle.

We think the caption on Bieber's first dreadlock Instagram sums it up best:

Anthony Vaccarello Named New Creative Director Of Saint Laurent

On Monday, April 4, Saint Laurent's parent company Kering announced that Belgian fashion designer, Anthony Vaccarello, will succeed photographer and fashion designer, Hedi Slimane, as creative director of the fashion house founded by couturier Yves Saint Laurent.

Speculation first mounted that Vaccarello would take over Saint Laurent Paris after he quit Versace on Monday.

The rumour mill has been working overtime since Hedi Slimane left YSL last Friday, with many fashion insiders convinced that Vaccarello would succeed him.

The 33-year-old, who has won many fans with his sexy, leggy look, first came to fame with a collection inspired by the Hungarian-Italian porn actress turned politician la Cicciolina.

Donatella Versace seemed to hint that Vaccarello — who comes from an Italian family — was going onto greater things when she said that he was standing down as creative director of her Versus label.

"In the past several years, I have worked with three great young talents on Versus Versace, Christopher Kane, JW Anderson and Anthony Vaccarello," she said in a statement. "While I’m sad to see him leave the Versace family, I wish Anthony Vaccarello tremendous success with his next chapter."

Vaccarello posted a photo on social networks of himself posing alongside Donatella Versace with a heart symbol as the message — a way of turning the page on this chapter of his career and thanking the designer for trusting and supporting him over the last few years.

Scottish-born Kane's own brand has since been bought by fashion giant Kering, while Irishman Anderson now heads the Spanish luxury label Loewe.

Vaccarello's typically monochrome dresses, often with plunging necklines, have an almost wild edge to them, and have won him major fashion prizes, including the top prize at the Hyeres festival.

Although his designs may be sexy and confident, he has a reputation for shyness.

He also worked for Karl Lagerfeld at Fendi before setting up his own brand in 2009 and becoming a regular fixture of Paris fashion weeks.

Kylie Jenner is following in her older half-sister's footsteps as the latest cover star for Paper magazine.

And while the 18-year-old reality TV star's cover isn't as, well, revealing as Kim Kardashian's "Break The Internet" issue, it definitely still makes a statement.

kylie jenner paper magazine

The image, photographed by Erik Madigan Heck, sees the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan looking like a literal plastic doll with a plastic pink wig and oversized eyes and lips. Jenner made sure to point out on Instagram that they were "edited to look bigger."

Since this #YOUth issue is focused on "the cool kids we all follow on Instagram," the cover was given the Instagram treatment, though we're surprised Paper only gave their photo 9,087 likes.

"We can't think of anyone better to be on the cover of our YOUth issue than Kylie Jenner," Paper writes on its website. "She's literally grown up on our screens since she was nine years old and, in that spirit, we turned to our phones for our cover story, asking fans and followers to send questions to us via Instagram DMs. In the resulting interview, Kylie shares her thoughts on fame, family and the future."

You know what they say, "Life is plastic, it's fantastic!"

Paper's April 2016 issue will hit newsstands April 12th.

Tweet Shows Columnist Dante Ramos Dealing With An Invading Ponytail On Airplane

Boston Globe columnist Dante Ramos just got himself into one hairy situation.

Last week, Ramos tweeted out a photo from his Houston to Boston flight that showed a young woman's effortlessly curled ponytail invading the space of his partner's seat. Flopped over the headrest, the long, luscious pony blocked the view of the mini television screen and almost landed on the tray-table.

"Congrats to the ponytailed young woman in seat 22B. You've invented a whole new way to be awful at 35,000 feet," Ramos tweeted post-flight.

Sure, we've seen fights break out on planes (like that one time a man wanted to do yoga in the aisles and no one else wanted him to), but this "ponytail passenger" just opened up a whole new viral world because, well, it happened to a journalist.

The tweet, which now has over 10,000 retweets, 9,000 likes and hundreds of witty remarks following suit (with "weave been hijacked," being a favourite of Ramos'), led the Globe columnist to pen an article entitled "The Day I Went Viral," in which he explains the situation with the "oblivious" ponytail and iPhone-using owner.

"Giving her the benefit of the doubt, I’ll assume she didn’t realize that her, er, readjustment would affect anyone else," Ramos said in an interview with Metro U.K. "At first I thought, 'What *is* that?' It took us a few moments to figure out that it was another passenger’s hair."

Shocked and surprised the tweet went viral, the columnist said he wishes his work on housing policy, transportation and higher education could get the same amount of retweets as a ponytail.

"For another few moments, we marveled at the ridiculousness of it. I took a photo, because that’s what you do these days when something absurd happens," Ramos told Metro U.K.

Even though he notes the ponytail wasn't on the seat for too long, the Boston-based journalist said it "broke an unspoken rule of economy class: Keep your coats, extremities, and expansive hairstyles under strict control."

For anyone who has experienced an invasion of space at 35,000 ft., you'll feel Ramos' pain on this one (even though we must say, that is one nice ponytail).

Emily Ramshaw, Fashion Editor: Listen To What Your Readers Want

$

It's no secret that capturing the attention of online readers is becoming increasingly difficult. This shift is especially prevalent in fashion as editors, bloggers, and brand writers compete for the attention of readers; traditional fashion magazines no longer own style advice.

Emily Ramshaw, Senior Editor of the popular online lifestyle site The Coveteur has been at the forefront of this shift. Ramshaw was a news editor at Flare Magazine before she joined the Coveteur two years ago.

Ramshaw tells me that today's editors have to constantly have a pulse on what their readers want.

Tell me about writing about people's closets.

Once you've seen inside someone's home and looked (and played! -- which is essentially what styling these stories entails) at their favourite things, you come back with a very intimate perspective regarding who that person is.

The role of the fashion editor is to deliver content that readers want. How do you listen to your readers? Give a recent example.

To me the most important job of a journalist, writer and editor is constantly to be thinking about the readers: what do they want? What are they interested in? Will they get something out of this? Why is this story valuable to them in their day-to-day life -- even if the value is just to make them laugh or think, and not to actually get something concrete out of it.

We get a lot of feedback from readers via social media on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. But the most meaningful feedback is in person, which I get a lot of, often about obsessions over recent closets, or people they'd love to see on the site -- I get a LOT of that. Elton John was a recent suggestion...

Describe the evolution of influence in fashion. Have we lost individual style preference?

People often ask me what's "in" this season, and I'm usually at a loss. In that sense, I think style is more individual; we are generally more inspired by other people's style than by trends on the runway. Street style during fashion week is probably more telling of the state of fashion and what's "trendy" than what's being presented at the actual shows, for better or for worse.

I think that with Instagram and blogs, we've developed something of a "global taste" - -I never thought I would want to wear Sam Smith Adidas or chokers again, and here I am. But I also think traditional trends -- like only skinny fitted pants are in style this season -- have disappeared.

Follow Emily on Twitter, and check out her interviews on The Coveteur.

I'm fascinated by creative women -- their passions, challenges, and contributions to society. If you know a creative woman to feature, please tweet @kmarano.

Spring Nail Art: Try This Easy Cherry Blossom Design

With the arrival of spring (well, apparently not so much in southern Ontario), cherry blossoms have started to bloom across the U.S. and in parts of Canada. To celebrate this key spring milestone, sport these gorgeous blossoms on your nails.

cherry blossoms

To complete this nail art, you will need a pastel polish for the base, two shades of pink for the blossoms, a black polish for the branches, and a dotting tool and nail art brush. To begin, apply your base pastel colour (turquoise and baby blue look fantastic) to all nails, and allow to dry once it is opaque.

cherry blossoms

Taking your nail art brush, paint branches with the black polish on all nails. No need to be perfect! Once the branches have dried, take the darker pink polish and a dotting tool to create the centres of the flowers (this allows you to plan out where the flowers with go). Using the same dotting tool, take the lighter shade of pink to create the petals of the flowers around the dark pink dots. Go back and redo the dark pink dots afterwards, so they aren't covered by the light pink too much.

Allow the design to dry for about 10 minutes before applying a top coat.

Polishes Used: Avon Sea Breeze, CND Vinylux Pink Pursuit, Formula X YAZZZ, and Wet n Wild Black Creme.

She may be an international supermodel, but Coco Rocha always has time to support her native country and its homegrown talent.

The 27-year-old model returned to Toronto on Saturday evening to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Canadian fashion label, Greta Constantine and its two designers, Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong.

The "royal"-themed affair was held at Toronto's historic Casa Loma and featured a makeshift protest with models holding oversized "Vote Greta" and "I'm Pro-Constantine" signs, while donning garments from Greta Constantine's fall/winter 2016 collection.

Pickersgill and Wong joined in on the action, alongside Rocha, their longtime muse, who wore a Greta Constantine jumpsuit with dramatic ruffles along the arms and collar.

Katie Meade Is The First Model With Down Syndrome To Land A Beauty Campaign

History has been made made!

Katie Meade has just been announced as the face of Beauty & Pin-Ups' latest launch, the Fearless Hair Rescue Treatment Kit, making her the first model with Down syndrome to land a beauty campaign.

The new hair care line's CEO, Kenny Kahn, met Katie through Best Buddies, a "one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities," and said the decision to appoint her as the face of the brand was effortless.

"The Beauty & Pin-Ups brand is a celebration of the empowerment of a woman and what it took to be a pin-up in 1935, and carrying that message in a modern sense,” Kahn tells PeopleStyle. "So as we were launching this product, in our mind it could have been the next traditional pin-up — but as soon as we came up with the name 'Fearless' it was really easy, we were like, 'Well Katie’s fearless.'"

The new product, Fearless Hair Rescue Treatment Kit, is an intensive, correcting hair masque that helps to rebuild broken bonds and revive brittle tresses. The brand's mission statement tells costumers to, "grab your spotlight, punctuate your story."

And Meade, the 32-year-old beauty, can't wait to take on her new role as the face of this company.

"It’s pretty cool because I love being a part of the Beauty & Pin-Ups family, and I love being apart of Best Buddies and interacting with people," Meade told PeopleStyle.

Katie is following in the footsteps of Madeline Stuart, a model with Down syndrome who has made international headlines for having walked at New York Fashion Week (twice) and for recently starring in a gorgeous wedding photoshoot.

All proceeds from sales of each Beauty & Pin-Ups product supports those with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Slowly but surely, the fashion and beauty industry are presenting more diverse representation of bodies on the runway and in campaigns, which we love seeing. Now here's hoping this continues.

Rihanna Effortlessly Walks Over Subway Grate (a.k.a. Death Trap) In Stilettos

From the moment we saw our first romantic comedy in the movie theaters, we women have been mortified of grates.

We know that scene all too well — single, independent protagonist strutting down the street with loads of shopping bags in hand and a pair of designer sunglasses balancing perfectly on her nose. She's most likely wearing a trench coat and a killer pair of stiletto heels. An iconic pop song is playing in the background and the character is strutting her stuff in slow motion.

Nothing can stop her!

Except for that upcoming grate you're about to get your heel stuck in...

If it can happen to J.Lo and her Gucci heels in "The Wedding Planner," it can happen to all of us...

Well, all of us expect for one woman who defies all odds... Rihanna.

Yes, that is Bad Girl Riri, in stilettos (with the thinnest of heels, might we add) gliding effortless across a New York City death trap. She doesn't get stuck, she doesn't trip, she remains flawless in the face of danger.

"Jesus can walk on water but can he do this," one Twitter user writes.

As the above tweet shows, this isn't even the first time she's perfected the walk. She's done it not once, not twice but three times before.

So calm, so cool, so collected.

All praise, RIRI!

Gwyneth Paltrow Admits To Getting Stung By Bees On Purpose For The Sake Of Beauty

Celebrities are known to go to extremes for the sake of beauty, but Gwyneth Paltrow really takes the cake.

The 43-year-old actress-turned-lifestyle guru recently revealed to The New York Times that she voluntarily got stung by bees as part of a beauty treatment.

"I’ve been stung by bees," the Goop founder tells the outlet. "It’s a thousands of years old treatment called apitherapy. People use it to get rid of inflammation and scarring. It’s actually pretty incredible if you research it."

So what is apitherapy, exactly? According to HuffPost Style, it's a form of therapy that's part natural medicine and part acupuncture used for chronic diseases such as arthritis, multiple sclerosis and cervical cancer. It can also be used as an alternative to antibiotics.

gwyneth paltrow

In terms of being a beauty treatment, however, HuffPost Style notes there's "insufficient scientific evidence that it actually works" and cites a Refinery29 post where Bruce Katz, director of the Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Clinic at Mount Sinai Medical Center, warns against bee venom therapy.

Gwynnie, however, seems to be a fan, writing on her website that she was "recently given 'bee venom therapy' for an old injury and it disappeared." (For the record, the post is called "The Importance of Honey & Bee Pollen," which just goes to show bee therapy has really got her buzzin'.)

If you want to try it out, it won't set you back too far financially. One user on The American Apitherapy Society Inc.'s website says each bee costs around 15 cents US.

As for the feeling of being stung by several of them? Paltrow says, "Man, it’s painful."

We imagine it would be, Gwyneth.

Aerie Admits #AerieMAN Campaign Was An April Fools Joke And Not A Lot Of People Think That's Funny

The world rejoiced last week when Aerie announced a new male body positive campaign called #AerieMAN, which featured four diverse men and their diverse bodies. It was followed by the statement, "The Real You Is Sexy."

PANTS OFF, ZEN ON. Let’s go “ohm” with #AerieMAN Doug…

A photo posted by American Eagle (@americaneagle) on

"Brilliant!" we all thought. "Another conversation about body awareness is making international headlines!"

And then the unimaginable happened. Aerie (basically) said "just kidding, April Fools."

Wait, what?

American Eagle Outfitters, Aerie's parent organization, said in a released statement on Friday, "American Eagle Outfitters proves once again they're not afraid to take a risk and have a laugh in support of a good cause... the brand reveals today its #AerieMAN campaign, featuring a mix of quirky characters of different sizes and personalities sharing 'real life' stories in their skivvies, was all in good fun to parody the #AerieReal campaign by Aerie, a leader in body-positive marketing."

The brand then stated it has pledged to, "forego retouching its male models in its underwear and swim images beginning Holiday 2016."

For many (read: the Internet), that was not a good enough answer as to why Aerie, AEO's loungewear spinoff, decided to use male body image issues as a punchline.

"#AerieMan was not a prank but rather an opportunity for us to raise awareness about body positivty," an American Eagle spokesperson told Mic, who was also dissatisfied with the press release answer.

However, it seems as though the campaign wasn't all a bust, at least for Brendon Williams of Langford, B.C. who plays Doug, a man who, "always liked being in [his] underwear" in the ad. The role, along with his daring series of boudoir birthday poses, a gift to his wife, landed him a starring role in the ad campaign — even thought he knew it was a gag from the start.

"This has actually improved my self esteem,'' says Williams in an interview as reported by The Canadian Press. "Not so much that I think I look better on the whole, but I think it's more that I don't have to be concerned about my flaws as much. I don't think I have the greatest body in the world, obviously, but this has made me go a little bit easier on myself.''

In a campaign that champions "being you," it's a shame that body diversity was the victim in a rather thoughtless April Fools joke, especially for a company like Aerie who first promoted body-positivity in their #AerieReal ads back in 2014. The mission of many of their campaigns has been to stop using unretouched photos and challenge “supermodel standards by featuring unretouched models in their latest collection of bras, undies and apparel.” Now why make a joke of that?

What makes a REAL man? We think #AerieMAN Devon might have the answer... Don’t just stand there, bust a move!

Lesson learned, American Eagle and Aerie? When it comes to body image, it's no laughing matter.

Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik Star In Romantic Photo Shoot For Vogue's May 2016 Issue

Stop everything because Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik just solidified their status as Hollywood's hottest 'It' couple.

The 20-year-old supermodel and the 23-year-old popstar joined forces to star in a romantic, sexy and simply stunning photo shoot for Vogue's May 2016 issue.

Photographed by Mario Testino, the shoot looks straight out of "Mambo Italiano" with Hadid playing the role of the "ingenue-gone-a-bit-wild, too" and Zayn playing the badass, rocker heartthrob (art imitating life, it seems, at least on Malik's part).

Set against the scenic background of Naples, Italy, the couple romantically embrace, ride together on Vespas, and walk hand-in-hand through the streets in a shoot that truly will make you believe love is real.

Gigi even shows off her athleticism, leaning over her man for a kiss while doing a handstand in a picnic-blanket check bikini by Solid & Striped. Vogue cleverly captioned the pic, "Pillow Talk," an ode to the ex-One Direction band member's first solo single which stars none other than Gigi Hadid in the music video.

GOALS, GUYS. REAL-LIFE RELATIONSHIP GOALS. We don't even care if that term is overused, this shoot literally defines it.

Canadian supermodel Coco Rocha has teamed up with Burt's Bees Canada for their latest launch: an all-natural lipstick.

The lippie, which is formulated with 100 per cent natural ingredients including moringa oil, raspberry seed oil and vitamin E, is the company's first-ever lipstick and comes in 14 different shades ranging from versatile nudes to bold, bright reds.

"One of my first memories of lipstick goes back to my days of competitive Irish Dance – Each competition all of the dancers would prepare and our mothers would apply our lipstick," said the Toronto-born model in a statement. "Years later, I still love experimenting with makeup. When I’m off the runway, at home as a Mom, I seek out hydrating, all-natural products, and I fell in love with the range of shades / colours in [the] collection."

Rocha, who grew up in Richmond, B.C., tells HuffPost Canada Style via email that the "dedication [Burt's Bees] have to being 100 per cent natural and striving to work with 100 per cent recyclable materials" is what drew her to the partnership.

"I recently became a mother and now I find myself more concerned about what I put on my body, and on hers, and also how we are leaving this world for the next generation," Coco says. "It was nice to find a brand who felt the same way."

Burt's Bees Canada says the partnership is a "perfect fit."

"Burt’s Bees Canada is overjoyed to launch our new Burt’s Bees lipsticks with Coco. Coming from the runways, Coco is no stranger to lipstick and she knows what makes a beauty product truly stand put," says Carolyn Hungate, marketing manager of Burt’s Bees Canada, in a press release. "Our customers have been asking for lipsticks for years, and we could not be more delighted to offer a product that looks beautiful on lips, and provides hydrating benefits, too."

Coco's fave shade from the collection? "Nile Nude, but if I'm going to do a colour, I'm going bold like the Brimming Berry."

Along with joining Burt's Bees Canada for the launch, the "Queen of Posing," who the brand says is "well-versed in backstage beauty secrets," is also sharing her beauty expertise.

On her day-to-day beauty routine, Rocha tells HuffPost Canada Style it's "entirely based around [her daughter], Ioni."

"She's usually up at around 6 a.m. and I just love that time with her. She's so happy when she wakes up, and its just me and her," she says. "Once my husband gets up about an hour later I run to the shower and start getting ready for the day which usually means a full face of makeup.

"To be honest, the most important part of my beauty routine is at night when I'm carefully taking off all my makeup and putting on good hydrating overnight cream. I think that is imperative to good skin, letting it be clean and hydrated through the night."

Burt's Bees' lipsticks retail for $9.99 each and are available at select natural, grocery, drug and mass retailers, as well as online at www.burtsbees.ca.

How To Get The Best Online Deals For Spring Trends

$

I love spring fashion and find shopping online so convenient. The time I save can be spent outdoors, or enjoying time with my friends or dining out.

To find out the latest tips and tricks about how you can get the most out of your online shopping experience I spoke with Camille Kowalewski, Senior Communications Manager, eBay Canada. Camille shared with me the latest trends and top tips for the best shopping experience online.

What are the top style trends for spring for men and women?

Top style trends for women this season include intricate design patterns of lace and florals, as well as flowy, comfortable fits: think loose fitting pants, pleats galore and billowy sleeves.

For men, 1950s Don Draper style is still dominating, especially for a night out or special occasion. We're seeing classic fashion pieces like a crisp white shirt paired with modern accessories including snazzy bow ties for a trendy touch.

What are the hot buys online this spring?

With the arrival of April showers, rain gear and apparel are hot purchases right now. For women, seasonal essentials like umbrellas and raincoats can easily add pops of colour to an otherwise dreary day. Stay dry and stylish with a colourful umbrella or a forest green raincoat -- a slight twist on a neutral staple that is great to pair with some bright, fun accessories.

For the fellas, classic items like the ever versatile khaki coat and quality waterproof rain boots continue to reign as staples in the closet. Anoraks are also making a comeback, with high-end designers taking their swing at this practical piece.

For accessories, what are the new looks this season?

As soon as the weather warms up, bold colours, bright prints and pastel hues always make a comeback for women's fashion. Crimson is one of this season's hottest hues and can easily be worn through accessories.

For men, lavish hats and backpacks have taken off. From paperboy hats to the classic ball cap, you'll be seeing luxe materials like leather and suede turning heads. Also, backpacks worthy of the boardroom will also be seen worn around town.

What is on trend for shoes for men and women?

Comfort is key this spring for both men and women!

Men's loafers have been taken up a notch in terms of style and design, so they can easily be worn from day to night. For example, instead of the typical, casual deck shoe, men can effortlessly dress up their jeans or dress pants with a deep brown loafer.

And women will rejoice to hear that flat mules are coming back in a big way. This shoe comes in so many styles, colours and textures to choose from, making it super easy to be stylish and comfy at the same time. Also, black flats have always been a wardrobe staple, but you can easily update your look by upgrading to a pointed black lace-up flat for a chic yet casual feel.

Any other new styles that are online this spring?

Interesting combinations of mixed metallic accessories and 70s style suede in heels and jackets can instantly pull a woman's outfit together. In stark contrast, the laid back cool chick style is still alive and well -- with white slip on shoes, jeans and a t-shirt being a casual everyday uniform.

Another shopping tip for the season: Now is the perfect time to take on some spring closet cleaning and adopt an out with the old, in with the new mentality. Selling your gently-used unwanted clothing is easy and it will give you that extra cash to spend on a new trend you have your eye on!

I will be thinking about all of these online shopping tips as I continue to expand my spring wardrobe.

Your suggestions are always welcome, as I continue on my journey to live life to the fullest. Let's have the very best 2016!

Gap Kids Ad Sparks Serious Backlash Online, Called 'Racist' By Twitter Users

Gap Kids found themselves in hot water on Sunday after the release of their latest ad campaign for GapKids X ED, the company's newest line of athletic kid's wear created in collaboration with Ellen DeGeneres.

The images feature pre-teen dance group Le Petite Cirque doing an array of poses.

And while the ads aimed to be empowering by "proving that girls can do anything," several Twitter users thought otherwise. Noting that while the rest of the crew strike some powerful poses, it appeared as if the only black girl in the advertisement was used as an armrest.

In response, filmmaker Matthew A. Cherry tweeted a past GapKids ad, which featured similar shot, except a black girl had her arm on top of a shorter white girls' head, sparking further debate online.

Following the backlash, a Gap spokesperson released the following statement to Mic:

"As a brand with a proud 46 year history of championing diversity and inclusivity, we appreciate the conversation that has taken place and are sorry to anyone we've offended. This GapKids campaign highlights true stories of talented girls who are celebrating creative self-expression and sharing their messages of empowerment. We are replacing the image with a different shot from the campaign, which encourages girls (and boys) everywhere to be themselves and feel pride in what makes them unique."

It's clear that based on the video below, several shots were taken during the shoot — many of which didn't include using anyone's head as an armrest. Regardless, the ad campaign and subsequent backlash definitely started a serious debate around diversity in advertising, a conversation which doesn't seem to be going away any time soon.

What do you think of the ad? Let us know in the comments below.

Stylish Workout Gear Is All The Fitspiration You Need

$

Do you find more pleasure in wearing a new workout outfit than actually doing the workout? You're not alone.

Studies show that by simply putting on exercise gear, you are more likely to get into the right frame of mind to start exercising.

Nowadays workout gear comes in flattering silhouettes and wearable tech to match -- but what's worth the splurge to keep physically motivated? Here are a few tips to help you hit the ground running.

When you look good, you feel good.
It's time to ditch the old oversized T-shirts! The reality is, if you look good, you feel good. You are more likely to want to hit the gym or the runner's path if your outfit is "on fleek." With every brand and their mother jumping on the athleisure craze, it is now totally socially acceptable to sport your gym clothes around the city even if you don't intend on ever getting to the gym. Should you have a moment of inspiration, you'll be geared up and ready for tree pose or a 10k run.

Want to look on point and stay cool
Opt for these mesh-accented crop tights from Gap. These inserts are not only great for air flow but add a touch of edginess to another wise basic black tight. Pair them with a bold strappy exercise bra and you will walk into the yoga room with an added boost of confidence.

Want to make sure your personal style shines on while you get your sweat on? Take a page out of the Angels handbook and turn heads in the Knockout by Victoria's Secret High Rise tights.

The 'Hi's and Lows' of exercise attire.
There are some items worth the splurge -- and when it comes to wear, tear and comfort, having a good quality pair of sneakers is a must whether you're heading out for a run or hitting the CrossFit floor. You can never go wrong with a great pair of Nikes.

On the other hand, a new, stylish exercise outfit doesn't have to break the bank. There are many inexpensive options to consider when shopping for fitness attire. Old Navy's athletic line continues to increase in popularity do to their flattering fits, vibrant prints and their under-$40 price tags.

Get technical.
Wearable tech remains totally trending with ever-expanding options. Look sleek with a Samsung smartwatch: track a run, play the next song and monitor your daily activities! Fashion meets function with Tory Burch's line of Fitbit accessories (including a pendant necklace or hinge bracelet) which is perfect when you plan on heading out for a night on the town. Fitbit continues to expand their ever-growing line of fitness trackers with the latest addition: the Alta wristband. No matter what style of tech you choose, these swoon-worthy wearables are sure to keep your heart racing.

Mobile Motivation.
Ditch the personal trainer and equip with your phone with health and fitness apps that coach you, guide you and keep you accountable. Whether you're looking to get in shape (I'm obsessed with Sweat by Kayla), form healthier habits (check out Strides) or try out the latest fitness trend (hello, ClassPass!)- today's hottest apps put the power to achieve your goals directly in the palm of your hand.
