Saks Fifth Avenue's First Canadian Store Opens In Toronto

TORONTO - Canada's crowded luxury retail market keeps expanding despite a dwindling economy, raising questions if there's enough room for all the players trying to flex their muscles.

Saks Fifth Avenue is the latest entrant, with its flagship Canadian store opening in Toronto on Thursday. The high-end fashion retailer believes it can distance itself from the competition with its offerings.

"If we deliver the right level of service and fashion and the right edit, people are going to come and they're going to want to shop,'' said president Marc Metrick.

The company's second Canadian location at Sherway Gardens is poised to open next week.

Even ahead of these two openings, though, shoppers are spoiled for choice when it comes to buying designer goods.

Nordstrom opened its first Canadian brick-and-mortar store in Calgary's Chinook Centre in 2014, and followed it with two more locations in Ottawa and Vancouver. By fall 2017, the company is planning to have three more locations in Toronto, including two at the same malls where Saks Fifth Avenue will reside.

Holt Renfrew already operates several stores in Canada, and will open a 130,000-square-foot store at Mississauga's Square One Shopping Centre this summer.

Simons, which already runs several stores in Quebec, Alberta and B.C., plans to open more stores in Ontario.

One of Saks Fifth Avenue's lines of defence to separate it from the competition is its shoe collection. The Eaton Centre location boasts 1,000 different pairs of ladies shoes — that's 250 more footwear options than Boston shoppers are afforded — and 15,000 in a stockroom that Metrick calls every woman's dream.

Women's shoes are shown inside Saks Fifth Avenue the company's new store in downtown Toronto.

The company is "very, very committed to having a powerful footwear business in this market,'' Metrick said.

He believes men's footwear will be an "explosive growth category'' for the company, as will men's clothing.

"Men are the new women,'' he repeats a line used by Saks Fifth Avenue executives for the past eight or nine months.

While it's starting with only two locations, Metrick doesn't feel limited to stay within those bounds. If the right opportunity presents itself in Canada's market, Metrick said the company would consider expanding beyond Toronto.

Already, the company aims to open as many as 25 of its discount fashion outlets, Off 5th, across Canada by 2019. Four locations — one in Alberta and three in Ontario — are already in the works. Not to be outdone, Nordstrom announced Wednesday it plans to open its discount arm, Nordstrom Rack, in Toronto's Yorkville shopping area in 2018.

Saks doesn't plan to differ its new Canadian stores too much from its American locations.

"It would be a terrible miss if we started to make Saks different for Canada,'' said Metrick. Some of the offerings will be tailored to the regional clientele, he said, as they are in various U.S. cities.

Already, the company's entrance into the market seems to have impacted its competition.

Holt Renfrew announced last week its plans to shutter its Sherway Gardens location later this year. Instead, the company will focus on its Square One store opening. The announcement came the same month Saks will open a store in the mall.

Saks Fifth Avenue's Toronto flagship store is located at Hudson's Bay Queen Street (176 Yonge St.).

Lady Gaga Stuns In Marc Jacobs New York Fashion Week Finale

Lady Gaga is proving this is her year.

First came her big win at the Golden Globes for her role in "American Horror Story: Hotel." Then the blond icon went on to dazzle in front of America at the Super Bowl, belting out the national anthem with soul and grace. And the success streak all continued just last week at the Grammy awards where she paid a very special tribute to her late idol, David Bowie.

Now, the 29-year-old is adding New York Fashion Week model to her list of 2016 accomplishments.

On Thursday, the Manhattan-native assisted legendary American designer, Marc Jacobs, in closing out New York Fashion Week for a second year in a row by walking in his romantically Gothic runway show.

The "Born This Way" songstress looked like a total pro as she walked directly after supermodel of the moment, Kendall Jenner, in a pale green pussy-bow blouse and an oversized charcoal-coloured coat adorned with patches of fur draped over the sleeves. The eight-time Grammy award winner kept her strong focus as she mastered her walk in astoundingly tall python leather platform heels on the Park Avenue Armory catwalk, which was filled with the sound of bell chimes rather than music.

Gaga, who made her runway debut at Thierry Mugler's fall 2011 show during Paris Fashion Week, looked unrecognizable as she blended in with the other 64 models who also flaunted dramatically dark lashes, eyeliner and lips created by François Nars. Her hair was style in 1920s finger waves created by Guido Palau and her eyebrows were bleached.

"I've adored @marcjacobs @therealmarcjacobs since I was very young, so I was so honored to be one of his beautiful creatures tonight," Gaga wrote on her Instagram account after the show.

And according to Women's Wear Daily, Mother Monster arrived to the venue and "insisted" on being treated like every other model backstage, "even checking in at the model table sans a large entourage and having her hair and makeup done in the same room every other model was being prepped in."

Andreja Pejic has landed her first major magazine cover as a woman.

The 24-year-old Australian model, who publically underwent sexual reassignment surgery in 2014, is featured on the front of Marie Claire Spain's March issue, her first cover since her transition.

Photographed by Pablo Zamora, Pejic, who made her runway debut as a woman a year ago, is seen on the cover wearing a spunky purple Versace frock with green embellished details, looking gorgeous with highlighted cheekbones, a subtle orange lip and tousled hair. According to Cosmopolitan, the headline reads: "Romper El Tabú," or "Breaking the Taboo."

"Thank you @marieclaire_es for having me on your cover this month!" the beauty, who was the first transgender model to land a spread in Vogue, writes on Instagram. "This marks my first cover in this somewhat new life and I couldn't be happier!"

Andreja, who ruled the catwalk as an androgynous model before the transition, has done plenty of modelling since her surgery, including inking a deal with Make Up For Ever and becoming the first openly transgender model to sign a contract with a cosmetics company.

What a milestone. Major congrats to Andreja!

MAC Cosmetics Posts Black Lips On Instagram, Flooded With Racist Comments

Cosmetics brands are known to post the beauty looks created by their makeup artists on their social channels, especially around fashion week.

So when MAC Cosmetics posted the below photo on Instagram of a behind-the-scenes shot from the Ohne Titel show at New York Fashion Week, it seemed like just another photo (albeit with a very cool dark lip colour).

Royal romance at @ohnetitelny #AW16. #MACBackstage #NYFW

A photo posted by M∙A∙C Cosmetics (@maccosmetics) on

However, upon posting the photo, the cosmetics giant was instantly flooded with racist comments about the model's naturally full lips.

"Wtf r these lips," comments one user.

"Holy shit I thought this was Jay Z," writes another.

Others came to the model's defense, calling out the haters.

"It amazes(sic) how these people can turn a post that was simply advertising lipstick into a whole race issue," another added. "Her lips make a perfect heart," one user writes. "Beautiful."

And as attn: notes, the comments also sparked a discussion on the double standards of the beauty world: while Kylie Jenner's lip fillers are the envy of several men and women, this woman's natural lips are subject to racist and hurtful remarks.

Maryse Kye, the 19-year-old model in the photo, took to her own Instagram account to respond to the comments, both positive and negative, on Thursday.

"As I read the comments below this picture Felt so insecure and a bit embarrassed as I just wrapped up fashion week a time period that is tough on models especially black models as we encounter the harsh reality of the fashion world," she says. "But I kept reading (not sure why tbh) and saw so much love and support from strangers that made me smile :)."

So far, MAC has not commented on the matter.

How To Find The Perfect Bra For Spring

$
0
0
I believe that amazing style starts with a great foundation. With the new styles coming out this spring, I am looking for the perfect bra that I find comfortable and feel beautiful in!

Recently, I spoke with Julie Douce-Alexe, Sales Director at Chantelle. Julie provided her top tips on how to find the perfect fitting bra for your shape and wardrobe this spring!

What are the new trends in lingerie this spring?

From what we see and on the market the main trends for Spring/Summer 2016 are:

Print: Florals
Colours: Grapefruit, pink, blue, golden beige
Products: Wireless bras

How to ensure the perfect fit?

Step 1

Check to make sure the band is snug- you should be able to fit only one finger under your band.

Look at your profile in the mirror and make sure that your bra band is straight and low across the back.

The band is too large if it's riding up your back, and too small if it's digging in to the point of discomfort. This is the most important "point of fit'' in a bra since 70% of the support comes from the band.

Step 2

Lean forward, bending slightly at the waist to allow the breasts to fully fall into the cup.
With your opposite hand, reach into the cup of the bra, pulling all breast tissue from the side to the center while holding the wire in place under the arm with your spare hand. Repeat on the other side.

Step 3

Adjust your straps so that they are snug and have some tension, but you can run a finger under them comfortably. Most women have slightly different size breasts so it's fine to adjust the straps to different lengths.

If you have sloping shoulders and your straps keep falling off, you should focus on bras with more centered straps.

If you have average to broad shoulders and your straps keep falling off, then your band is probably too big.

Step 4

The bra has an underwire, make sure that the wires are fully encompassing your breasts at the side and are not cutting into your breast tissue. Then make sure your breasts are not bulging out at the top of the cup.

If either happens, it means your cup is too small and you should go up at least one cup size.
If you experience any gapping at the top of the cup, you probably need to try another style or go down at least a cup size.

Step 5

The centre front should be lying flat between your breasts.

Is there is any space between the centre front and your skin, then your cup is too small and you should go up at least one cup size.

Step 6

When lifting up your arms, your bra shouldn't move. If the cup lifts up to the point of any breast tissue being exposed, then it is too small.

Try some light movement, if your breasts don't stay contained in the cup and need readjustment, the band is probably too big and the cup too small.

Step 7

Stand in front of a mirror and look at your profile. Your breasts should be lifted and supported ensuring you stand straight and confident.

The five things to check:

BAND:

Check that the band is straight (parallel to the floor) and low across the back. It should fit snug, but you should be able to fit one finger underneath.

STRAPS:

Straps should be snug with some tension, but you should be able to run a finger under them comfortably.

UNDERWIRE:

The bra's underwire should be resting under the armpit just behind the breast tissue, not on the breast tissue. If the underwire pokes or rests on top of the breast, you need a larger cup size.

CUPS:

The cups should lay flat against the body. If there is gapping at the top of the cup, you probably need to try another style or go down one cup size. If your breasts are "bulging out" of the top of the cup, you need to go up at least one cup size.

CENTRE FRONT:

The centre front should be lying perfectly flat against your breast bone (between your breasts).

What are the new ways that women are wearing lingerie this season?

Depending of the generations of course, we see new ways of wearing bras. The younger consumers tend to mix and match colours, styles and/or textures; they're also looking for soft and wireless bras. That's why you'll find bralettes with and without wires, with trendy backs.

Regarding the older clientèle, they're looking for two main criteria: comfort and support.

If you have ideas or questions about the bras and fit, please leave a comment below and I will do my best to find the answer for you.

Your suggestions are always welcome, as I continue on my journey to enjoy life to the fullest. Let's have the very best 2016!

Tarte Cosmetics And Bystander Revolution Team Up For #KissAndMakeup Anti-Bullying Campaign

We all know beauty bloggers love a good Instagram selfie, and recently, we've been seeing a lot of them posting photos of themselves with a covered mouth and lip-smacked hand.

But this isn't just your ordinary selfie. It's one with a cause.

Bystander Revolution has partnered up with Tarte Cosmetics to launch #KissAndMakeup, a campaign that is asking beauty influencers and lovers to put on their favourite lipstick, kiss their hand, hold the kiss stain over their lips and take a selfie, all to raise awareness about cyberbullying.

"Remember what yo mama taught ya, if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say it at all!!! Let's all #kissandmakeup," writes YouTube beauty vlogger Nicol Concilio on her #KissandMakeup selfie.

With over 3.2 million students being the victim of bullying each year, Tarte And Bystander Revolution are encouraging everyone to "flood Instagram with good vibes and compliments" and to stop being mean behind a screen.

"Cyber-bullying is all too common on social media. Eighty-eight per cent of teens witness cyberbullying every day. We want to use our social platforms to encourage our fans to spread positivity rather than judge someone's appearance, which is why this initiative is so important to us," says Tarte Cosmetics CEO and founder Maureen Kelly in a press release. "If we can make an impact through kind words and simple compliments, the Internet would be a much more beautiful place."

As more girls and boys take to Instagram to show off their crafted beauty looks, negative comments are becoming a normal occurrence on the social media platform . Even huge cosmetic companies and their models are being targeted, as we saw this week with MAC and the uproar of racist comments circulating on their page over one photo from NYFW in particular.

But with campaigns like #KissAndMakeup, we hope to see the beauty world take action and stand together against bullying online.

For more #KissAndMakeup selfies, see below!

As someone who was severely bullied when I was younger, when I heard @tartecosmetics teamed up with @bystanderrevolution this hit home for me. So often I was told to keep my mouth shut about me being bullied by school counselors and principals. The bullying at school continued when I got home through cyber-bullying. That is when I logged off my computer, and would go to play with makeup and escape into a world where I felt invincible and the harsh words of the bullies could no longer get to me. To this day, makeup still does the same for me. The negative words that I would hear every time I looked in the mirror, from them judging me about my appearance and how I choose to express myself, faded away, as I stood proud in the mirror and in front of my bullies and chose makeup over anything else and felt beautiful. Please join me in raising awareness about not only bullying, but cyber bullying as well. #Kissandmakeup #anticyberbulling Lipstick is Frenemy from Tarte. Pic by: @christianhenrysmith

But our best look of the week has to go to Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover star, Ashley Graham, who slayed in a little black dress at a SI Swim press event in NYC.

Eyebrow Embroidery Is The Latest Beauty Trend

2016-02-19-1455912032-7700032-image1.jpg

So, here's the scoop: back when I was about 14 years old, I begged my mother to let me wax my eyebrows. Being a typical persistent teenager I eventually wore her down until she agreed to let me go in for a "clean up." That's when everything went downhill.

I started watching everyday for any hairs growing back in and was so obsessed over my lines being perfect that eventually my plucking got completely out of hand. By grade 10 my eyebrows were basically non-existent, and since my brows have refused to grow back in.

It didn't matter how much time had passed or how strong a serum was, NOTHING was bringing my old eyebrows back.

2016-02-19-1455912090-2689832-image2.png

One day I was introduced to a new service being offered at Ritual called eyebrow embroidery. Immediately I was intrigued and booked a consultation to learn more about it. Eyebrow embroidery is semi-permanent and can last about two to three years.

I'm sure you are probably picturing eyebrows you've seen tattooed in straight lines with ink that fades to colours that no eyebrows in reality are. Embroidery, on the other hand, employs an X-Acto knife that strokes a layer of the skin with pigment in a feathered motion to mimic the look of actual hair!

There are different blade sizes used depending on the thickness of you current eyebrows, and the pigment is mixed together until it matches your current colour, making the end result very natural-looking once healed.

The appointment starts with a numbing agent applied to your brow area to reduce a bit of the pain. Once that has been absorbed into the skin, the next step is drawing on your brows exactly to how you want them to look. When the look is to your liking the magic begins.

The blade strokes are short and quick, and with a high pain tolerance I didn't find the overall experience to be that bad. The areas are gone over three separate times so it does get more tender as you go. After the appointment you can expect a bit of redness and swelling, but that will for the most part be gone the next day.

The healing process takes about 10 days in total. It starts off a tad tender, and then there are a few tight and itchy days as it's healing. Then areas will start to scab off, revealing brows you've never had before.

2016-02-19-1455912133-9382673-image3.png

Eyebrow embroidery is excellent for those who already have good brows but are looking to fill in any sparse areas to thicken up their look. It's also great for those who want to darken their brow area.

I love a good contrast even though I am quite blonde, so this was also something that was important to my results. It is common where people feel it is too dark, but trust me that with time it does fade about 70 per cent, resulting in a very natural look.

Then there are the cases like mine where we have over-plucked, and I'm happy to have the shape that I now do because of this. I have finally found an alternative that helps me get a pretty good brow game, something I never thought I would be saying.

Because this is semi-permanent, it is something that you will have to go back to re-do or touch up, but that's the beauty of it: because beauty trends change just like fashion, by the time you return you might want to alter that shape or colour.

If eyebrows have been that one thing bothering you, too, I highly recommend booking a consultation to feel it out. Having a set of brows is pretty life changing!

Blake Lively Asked To Uncross Her Legs At Michael Kors Fashion Show

When it comes to fashion week, there's a certain etiquette involved: don't sit in a seat that's not yours, don't linger around the aisles, and definitely DO NOT cross your legs, especially if you're sitting front row. The reason for the latter? Crossed legs often get in the way of photographers, and sometimes the models (depending on the size of the runway).

You'd think that Blake Lively, a front row fixture, would be aware of this rule, but apparently not: she was seen sitting with her legs crossed front row at Michael Kors Collection fall 2016 fashion show.

blake lively

According to Page Six, the 28-year-old actress and other front-row VIPs (including Riley Keough and Blake's mom, Elaine), were "personally told to uncross their legs by the company’s chairman, John D. Idol."

Page Six says the mother-of-one "didn't appear to listen, and kept her legs crossed."

And by the looks of it, her mama and Keough followed suit.

Moral of the story? You can take the girl out of Serena van der Woodsen, but you can't take Serena van der Woodsen out of the girl (#REBEL).

Dual-Heeled Shoes Aim To Make Stilettos More Comfortable

$

We all know how painful a great pair of stilettos can be, no matter how many insoles or cushioned pads we place inside of them.

However, one designer has found the solution to making heels more comfortable, and it involves adding another heel.

Yes, dual-heeled shoes do, in fact, exist, and they were inspired by none other than Serena Williams.

According to Fast Company, aspiring sneaker designer Christopher Dixon (the man behind this genius footwear), got the idea for the double heel after going through Williams' closet and looking through her personal shoe collection.

"She was like, 'Those hurt my feet, but I love them. And those hurt my feet too,'" he tells FC. "I started asking questions like, 'Why do you wear shoes that hurt, especially as an athlete?' I found out no one had solved this design problem of making comfortable high heels."

Fast forward seven years, and now Dixon is introducing the Christopher Coy Collection, a high-end line of "iconic dual heels providing comfort and stability for the fashion forward woman, rewarding women with the opportunity to look and feel beautiful throughout their entire day, experiencing true luxury," according to the designer's website.

The premise behind this unique design is the added heel will help with weight distribution and stability and will relieve pressure on the arch of the foot. FC notes the midsole features shock-absorbant and memory foam, similar to that found in a sneaker for added comfort.

Currently there are seven styles available on Christopher Coy Collection's website, though FC says there will be 10 styles in total. All are named after women because "no woman is the same," says Dixon, and each comes with an invisible chip made by a tech company called Chronicled, which provides information via a smartphone to ensure authenticity and give details on the entire design process.

And while yes, the double heel is a little bit bizarre, the payoff overrides that.

Dixon tells FC that all of the 60 women who tried a pair said they were the most comfortable heels in their closets. His wife loved them so much, she wore them all year long and had to get the heel caps changed three times.

Christopher Coy Collection heels range from $425 - $1,100, and will be available fall 2016.

So, would you try dual-heeled shoes? Let us know in the comments below, and visit www.christophercoycollection.com to learn more.

Beauty Vlogger Nicole Skyes Proves Toilet Paper Curls Are Utterly Gorgeous

Another day, another totally ridiculous beauty hack.

This time is involves none other than bathroom must-have: toilet paper.

nicole skyes

WEIRD.

In her video series, "Beauty Hacks or Wack?" beauty vlogger Nicole Skyes puts ridiculous objects to the test and documents if they can offer any brilliance to her beauty regime. For one of her latest wack hacks, she test drives a roll of toilet paper and sees if the stuff can actually give her voluminous curls.

And guys, our minds are BLOWN.

toilet paper curl

Look at those gorgeous, bouncy toilet paper curls!

We're sitting here baffled. Why are we only seeing this amazing hack now? Sure, we've seen curls created with rags and socks before, but toilet paper is fantastic because for these major benefits:

1) Toilet paper is a whole lot cheaper than buying a curling iron.

2) No heat is applied to your hair, which means no sizzling damage.

3) They are comfortable to sleep on, according to Skyes.

To get the look, Skyes rips off three strips of paper and sections her hair. She then wraps her hair around the toilet paper and rolls it all the way up to the scalp. To secure, she folds over the paper and knots it into place. Her pro tip is don't make the knot too tight, as it can rip and break. Be gentle!

nicole skyes toilet paper

After sleeping on the rolls overnight, simply take out the knots. Don't be alarmed if some lose their shape, that's normal.

We think the results speak for themselves:

We're officially impressed.

Happy Birthday, Cindy Crawford!

"There are things I'd wish weren't part of aging," she told the UK's Sunday Mirror in 2010.

"But what you gain is much more than you're giving up. I don't think you come into your own until you're 35 or so."

With age, Crawford has certainly grown wiser, and we love her refreshing take on growing older.

"I don't look the same as I did 20 years ago, nor should I," she told Parade.com a few years ago.

Her philosophy about aging in such a youth-driven world is a great example and she'll always remind us, "Even I don't wake up looking like Cindy Crawford."

Rumours were circling that Crawford would be retiring from modelling now that she's 50, but Crawford's since cleared things up saying she's not closing herself off to opportunities.

Enjoy your 50th Cindy, cheers to you!

Oscars Fashion: The Worst Red Carpet Looks That Inspired The Trends We Love Today

Well you know what they say: "Come with me, and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination."

And while I’m sure the only person who can say that with actual sincerity is the original Willy Wonka, trust me when I tell you we all need to suspend our belief to buy into what I’m about to sell you:

The worst Oscar red carpet looks inspired the trends we’re obsessed with today.

And I’m not joking. Believe me when I tell you nothing about this is a drill. Instead, I’m offering cold, hard facts and equally cold, hard concrete proof that what we once condemned circa Y2K went on to birth the uniforms of 2016, outfits seen in the "Work" video, excluded. (JK: Drake has totally channelled Demi Moore.)

Don’t believe me? How dare you. Also: get a load of this.

Angelina Jolie (2000): Goth Revival

angelina jolie oscars 2000

Maybe you remember, maybe you don’t, but in 2000, Angelina Jolie accepted her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress (for "Girl Interrupted") completely decked out in Morticia Addams’ finest. And alas, we’ve all benefitted from it. While it’s easy to throw literal shade at a concept that goes against the Oscars’ infatuation with glamour, it’s Jolie’s floor length black get-up that’s helped fuel the current gothic revival, seen in everything from black lipstick to black velvet dresses. We did it, everyone.

Try the trend: Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Poe, $26.

Gwyneth Paltrow (1999): Oversized

79827571

The year before, Gwyneth Paltrow did two things: 1) She cried harder than any of us ever have while accepting her Oscar for "Shakespeare in Love" and 2) Inspired the oversize majesty that currently defines our winter wardrobes. So where 1999 still called for snug-fitting tops and bras worn underneath (or maybe that was just my winning all-ages club aesthetic), Ms. Paltrow broke free of the norms, channelling prom dress chic and spawning a season of oversize shirts and the abandonment of bras (though I do not recommend the latter when dealing with wool sweaters, FYI).

Try the trend: Wilfred Free Brosh T-Shirt, $45.

Celine Dion (1999): Tuxedos

celine dion oscars 1999

First and foremost: this is not to sanctify the existence of fedoras — far from. (And if you ever accuse me of such, this digital semi-friendship is over.) But while our teen-year-old selves watched in shock as Celine Dion walked the red carpet, we-as-grown-ass women now recognize the power of a well-suited (all puns intended, duh) tux. Especially as we’ve seen more and more women forfeit dresses for pieces they can move/stand/live in — or even just opt for a terrific-fitting tuxedo jacket that pulls an outfit together and makes one feel like a total boss.

Try the trend: Banana Republic Jacquard Long Tuxedo Jacket, $92.97 (sale).

Bjork (2001): Avant-Garde Culture

79825227

The Swan Dress? You bet your bottom dollar I’m talking about The Swan Dress. Let’s face it: red carpet fashion is boring. A lot of it is safe and risks aren’t even close to risky and everyone’s vying to make it on the Best Dressed lists because all of us would like to be on the Best Dressed lists, let’s face it. But not Bjork. Instead, she made a statement — a beautiful, long overdue, wonderful statement: fashion is what you make it, so have fun. And, thanks to designers like Marc Jacobs, we currently are.

Try the trend: Marc Jacobs Georgia Metallic Leather Cowboy Boots, $495.

Demi Moore (1989): Athletica

demi moore 1989 oscars

I understand Drake wasn’t seen in spandex shorts under a dress in the "Work" video (though if he ever travels down that aesthetic path I am here for it and will support it to my dying day). But between his sweat suit, the likes of Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner’s obsession with track pants, and leggings-as-legitimate bottoms, we’re living a life of extreme comfort — just like Demi Moore did, circa 1989. The only downside? . . . None, I’m just kidding. I wore a two-piece sweatsuit the other day and felt nothing but powerful and free.

Try the trend: Roots Skinny Cozy Sweatpant, $68.

Kim Kardashian Steps Out In A Jacket Covered With Images Of Her Face

Kim Kardashian is no stranger to self-love (remember her book of selfies, aptly titled, "Selfish"?), but she may have really outdone herself this time.

The 35-year-old reality TV star took a page from her husband's playbook, but rather than write a song about how much she loves herself, she demonstrated her personal love affair by wearing a jacket with her face on it.

Man, that is so Kim.

The mother-of-two donned the personalized leather jacket in Malibu on Sunday to celebrate her best friend Jonathan Cheban's birthday.

The topper features several close-up shots of the selfie queen, with the words "slay" and "chill" painted on each arm.

We can't tell who loves themselves more: Kanye or Kim!

P.K. Subban is getting ready to suit up. But this time, it's not in his usual red and whites Habs gear, but rather, an off-ice suit and tie.

On Monday, Canadian retailer RW&CO. announced the Montreal Canadiens defenceman as the brand's newest style ambassador, a role they believed he fit perfectly.

Suit up, it's game time! P.K. Subban teams up with us for the second period #subbanrwco #rwco

"The official off-ice uniform, the suit, is synonymous with power and prestige," says Rita McAdam, Vice President of Marketing and Visual Presentation for RW&CO. in a press release. "P.K. Subban embodies those values. He is exemplary of ambition, hard work and success, but also of confident self-expression. He inspired us to offer our new athletic fit to young hockey players and athletes of all types, available in store as of next March. By showcasing its polished style we hope to show all our clients that they too can be at the top of their game."

P.K., who is known for rocking an array of smashing pre-game ensembles, says, "The suit allowed me to express my personal style, all while looking professional. That’s fashion—you can make your own fashion."

On his new title role, Subban also added, "I’m proud to add the title of ambassador for RW&CO.’s Spring collection to my roster. I’m glad to have the chance to communicate the importance and versatility of the suit to men, especially young male athletes who are just now being introduced to suiting. ”

In the short promotional film "The Suit — Suit Up, It's Game Time!" which you can watch above, Subban takes on the role of modern-day hero and proves no challenge is too big when you wear a suit. Donning threads from the brand's new spring 2016 suiting line, including a killer navy ensemble that's detailed with a black tie, the 26-year-old is shown taking a call to action and speeding through the city on a motorbike. His destination? A children's birthday party.

I'm very excited to be able to team up with @rw_co for their fall suiting campaign! #subbanrwco

OH P.K.!

And as noted, the objective of the campaign "is to demonstrate that every man can show off his style and reach his goals thanks to suiting."

The Toronto native, who says the pre-game suit "is where [his] passion for fashion started," has always had a flare for fashion in thanks to his family, and he documents it well on Instagram, as you can see:

RW&CO.'s spring 2016 Suiting Collection, which is now available in stores and online, features slim, tailored and athletic fits that come in shades of royal blue, grey, burgundy and neutrals and begins at $349.

P.K. shoots, and he scores big time with this fashion campaign!

Leonardo DiCaprio's 21-Year-Old Swedish Doppelgänger Lands Modelling Gig With Barneys

Back in October, the Internet discovered (and totally fell in love with) a 21-year-old Swedish bartender and musician that looks exactly like a young Leonardo DiCaprio.

See for yourself:

SWOON!

Since his viral discovery, Konrad Annerud has caught the attention of fashion powerhouses, including Barneys New York, who have just hired the Leo lookalike circa "Romeo + Juliet" for its Ralph Lauren Purple lookbook, which went live online last Sunday.

As noted by Fashionista, Annerud is yet to sign with a modelling agency, so the "arrangement between him and the fashion retailer was coordinated on Instagram." They also reported that the "Swedish skateboarder" is also signed to Universal, as he hopes to pursue a solo music career.

In an interview with Swedish news site nyheter24.se earlier this year, Annerud said the "Titanic" star comparisons get a little annoying from time to time.

"When I was in Italy this summer, I almost felt like shaving my hair off," Annerud confessed. "It was very chaotic; people were yelling 'Leo' and wanted to take photos with me all the time. It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced."

And this isn't the first time a studly skateboarder has landed a fairy tale like model contract. In 2015, with the help of supermodels Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid, homeless skateboarder John Economou (a.k.a."Romeo of Venice Beach") landed a modelling contract for his "cute" looks.

Looks like this is another win for the digital modelling world that is Instagram.
