You know his name...

Jason Bourne.

But also, Matt Damon.

And Matt Damon is back. With a man bun. And people are totally confused about it.

Just when we thought the man bun was dead and gone, here comes Matt Damon charging into a press conference in Beijing, China, on Tuesday flaunting it like it's some hot, fresh hairstyle on the scene.

But here's the issue, guys. How the hell was Matt able to grow this thing in less than a month?! Cue the evidence...

This was Matt during an AOL Build interview on July 28th, sporting his usual Matt Damon hair:

Same old, same old.

Now, this is Matt Damon less than a month later:

HOW?! How does one man grow his hair this fast? WE. ARE. CONFUSED.

matt damon man bun

Could this be a clip-on man bun? Doubtful. Matt doesn't seem like that type of guy. And wait, did he colour his hair an auburn colour too?

Are we being "Punk'd"? Is this for a new role? A mid-life crisis?

The man bun, "not just a hairstyle, but a lifestyle" for some men, first gained fame back in 2014 thanks to celebrities such as Harry Styles, Jared Leto and Leonardo DiCaprio. The trend became so popular with men all over the globe that, according to Google, it was the biggest beauty search term of 2015.

Jason Bourne? More like... Jason (man) Bun.

Bad joke.

Somewhere out there, Matt Damon's ponytail Twitter account is rejoicing (yes, you read that right... his 2015 textured ponytail has its own social media account).

Welcome back, man bun. You are alive and well thanks to trendsetter of the moment, Matt Damon.

YouTuber Marimar Quiroa Gives Us All A Real Lesson In Self-Love

Being differently abled should never stop anyone from making their way into the spotlight.

And it certainly didn't hold YouTuber Marimar Quiroa back from following her passion for beauty.

Born with cystic hygroma — a facial tumour that has left her unable to eat or speak through her mouth — Quiroa has long faced her share of hardships.

"Before, my face and head were bigger and I went through the process of many surgeries over several years to shrink my face and mouth to what you see today," she shared with Bancroft TV, according to the Daily Mail.

Quiroa also has diminished hearing in her right ear and uses sign language to communicate.

The 21-year-old explained that she used to struggle with accepting her appearance, and would even hide in public so strangers wouldn't stare at her on the street.

Luckily, those feelings didn't last too long and Quiroa quickly learned to love the skin she's in.

Round 2 ... Perfect model doesn't mean nice ass body and face too. It mean show off your own image of beauty

A photo posted by Gorda66 (@makeupartistgorda66) on

"When I was younger I would talk to myself in the mirror. I would tell myself I was beautiful," she said, as reported by HuffPost Style UK. "I would encourage myself and list all the things that were good about me and it built my confidence through the years."

The YouTube beauty sensation has continued her positive progression since then, and now shares her message of self-love and beauty with the world.

"To me, beauty means to accept yourself for who you are," she shared in the video above."It doesn't matter if you have a different-looking face. Accept yourself for who you are."

And with more than 110,000 subscribers and six million views, it appears as though her audience is sending her the love right back.

"You are beautiful!!!!!!" one commentator wrote.

"She's so inspiring " another said.

However, like any YouTuber, Quiroa isn't immune to the trolls. But since she's the true beauty queen she is, the influencer remains highly unbothered.

"I have encountered negative people both on YouTube and out in my daily life," she shared. "People tell me I look like a monkey, that my mouth is wrong and people stare at me, I see them staring. When people say negative things to me I either tell them to stop or just ignore them. But if people are staring at me, I stare right back and refuse to look away until they stop."

Right on, sister!

While Quiroa has reached YouTube stardom, she still has plans beyond the small screen and is enjoying all the amazing things life has to offer along the way.

According to Refinery29, the vlogger is currently studying education in hopes of one day teaching deaf children, and is also a Zumba teacher on the side!

"She said she wants to go travelling and go many places and inspire other people and give thanks to God that's she's alive with a lot of energy," her mother shared with Bancroft TV.

We can't wait to see what she'll get up to next.

Nail Polish Drying Hacks That'll Get You Out The Door Faster

$

Ever had to rush to give yourself a quick manicure that ended up getting smudged as soon as you walked out the door?

Yeah, us, too.

There's no question that most of us gals who love rocking nail polish hate waiting for it to dry. And while gel manicures seem to be the easy solution, there's not always enough time in the day to head to the salon or enough money in the bank to buy one of those fancy UV lamps.

But don't worry, in the video above, Everyday Genius lets you in on the simplest nail drying hack of them all. And it involves a freezer. Yup, after your DIY manicure, head to the kitchen and place your hand in the freezer for a few minutes. The cold temperature actually accelerates the drying process.

Or, try these other quick tips for quickly-dried tips:

Use cooking spray:

According to Refined Mom, you can ditch the expensive fast-drying nail polish aerosols for some good ol' cooking spray.

Many have tested out this method and have said not only does it leave your cuticles shiny and bright, but the oil makes for a great top coat. So next time you're worried about brushing up against something after you've freshly painted your nail beds, just spray a bit of cooking oil on them so the polish doesn't stick to anything.

Get a bowl of icy cold water:

Fashion Ends suggests you dip your newly painted nails in some icy cold water for when you're in a rush. Ice water will thicken polish, so after three minutes or so, you should have dry, shiny nails.

Use a hair dryer:

hair dryer

Yup, it's the old fashion way, but it is effective. Set your dryer on the low setting and temperature (don't burn yourself), and allowing the blowing air to set your polish in place.

Are there any other hacks you know of you try your nails quickly? Let us know in the comments below!

Couple Booted From Victorian Gardens For Wearing Victorian Clothes

An American couple said they were "insulted" after they were shut out of B.C.'s Butchart Gardens because of the way they were dressed.

Sarah and Gabriel Chrisman wear 19th century-style clothing every day. Their garments are just one part of their shared mission to educate others about the Victorian era.

The couple, who live in Washington state, had planned to spend the afternoon at the gardens near Victoria to celebrate their wedding anniversary last weekend. They booked a ferry north from their hometown in Port Townsend, and bought tickets to have high tea on the grounds.

But when they reached the tourist attraction, staff told them they had to change their clothes or leave.

Sarah wore a blue, handmade dress with a matching hat. Gabriel arrived in a three-piece checkered suit.

Butchart Gardens doesn’t allow guests to wear "historical dress" or "period style" on grounds. The concern, according to a statement on the gardens’ website, is that costumed guests will be "mistaken" for staff.

Sarah said she and her husband were asked to change out of their "costumes," and were even offered staff uniforms to wear instead. One worker offered a one-time exception to the rule if Sarah removed her hat, but she refused, the Butchart Gardens’ statement read.

Sarah said she and her husband were insulted, and published an essay on her blog about the experience.

sarah chrisman

"That sort of treatment is exactly why so many people deny their own beautiful individuality and simply move with the herd to avoid harassment," Sarah wrote in an email to HuffPost Canada, explaining what bothered her most about the experience.

"Everyone deserves the chance to be themselves and express their own individuality."

In the end, the gardens refunded the couple and paid for their taxi back into Victoria. The pair spent the rest of the day sightseeing, and said they were "welcomed" at other gardens and landmarks in the provincial capital.

"We [don't want to] let the experience at Butchart overshadow everything else in the wonderful city of Victoria," Sarah said.

"I hope that by setting an example of living by our principles and refusing to give them up, my husband and I can inspire others to likewise live their own dreams and be true to themselves."

Quebec Politicians Weigh In On 'Delicate' Issue Of Burkini Ban

$

QUEBEC — It would be difficult for Quebec to follow the lead of the French cities that have banned burkini swimsuits, the province's international relations minister said Wednesday.

Christine St-Pierre said the Canadian and Quebec charters of rights and freedoms would make it "very, very difficult to ban" the body-covering swimwear.

While stating she didn't want to immerse herself in another country's debate, she acknowledged the issue is a "delicate" one.

"Do we tell women, 'stay at home, don't leave your home, stay isolated and don't go out?'" she said. "That's the question we have to ask."

Justice Minister Stephanie Vallee, when questioned on the same issue, said she believes women have the right to dress the way they choose.

"People have the right to their beliefs and can dress how they want," said Vallee, adding that includes those who dress "a bit more shockingly as well."

Vallee said she doesn't believe burkinis — whose name combines 'burka' and 'bikini' — are common in Quebec. The swim garment covers the legs, arms and torso and also includes a veil.

In June 2015, Vallee tabled the province's state neutrality bill, which would ban face coverings for anyone giving or receiving government services.

"People have the right to their beliefs and can dress how they want."

The previous Parti Quebecois government had gone further, calling for state secularism and seeking to ban the wearing of visible religious symbols for provincial employees, including hijabs, turbans, kippas and larger-than-average crucifixes.

St-Pierre, a former minister for the status of women, said the Couillard government continues to stand behind its yet-to-be-adopted bill, which would ban face coverings in the government sphere.

"Accepting the burkini is admitting that a woman's body is an object of temptation and that it must disappear at all costs."

"That's our position for reasons of security," she said.

A member of the legislature for the right-leaning Coalition for Quebec's Future said she favours banning the clothing.

"It is a very serious symbol," said Nathalie Roy. "It represents hiding a woman's body. Accepting the burkini is admitting that a woman's body is an object of temptation and that it must disappear at all costs."

Christie Brinkley Daughter: Holy Crap, Sailor Is Starting College

Christie Brinkley is sending her lookalike daughter off to college!

This week, the famous model packed up her 18-year-old daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, and helped her make the big move to New York City. Brinkley documented the milestone move by posting adorable photos to Instagram.

In one cute snap, the mother-daughter duo is seen twinning with matching denim overalls and white T-shirts as they prepare to move.

“Brinkley Moving Company! We Get the job done!” the 62-year-old model wrote.

And in another shot, Brinkley and her daughter are seen hitting the road, looking more alike than ever! The two clearly have the same hair, eyes and smile.

“Brace yourself .. I'm going to say the words no one wants to hear...back to school!” Brinkley captioned the snap. “Make that college! Prepping da crib!”

The move isn’t just a big milestone for Sailor, but also for her mom. The teen is Brinkley’s youngest child, making her the last to leave for college. The supermodel had Sailor with fourth husband Peter Cook.

Brinkley also shares a 21-year-old son, Jack, with Cook, and a 30-year-old daughter, Alexa Ray, with second husband Billy Joel.

This fall, Sailor will attend New York’s Parsons School of Design. The teen originally revealed her interest in the school last year, when she appeared in the September 2015 issue of Seventeen magazine. In her interview, she said she hoped to study photography.

“My mom is a model, so it's something I've always wanted to do,” she told the mag. “I started when I was 14!”

Despite the teen’s excitement over her move, Sailor has been criticized for her choice of school by internet trolls. On Wednesday, the teen hit back at her haters by posting on Instagram.

Alright alright. This is going to be super long and super rant-y. Im sorry in advance. So, I usually never read the comment section under any stupid article about me.. And when i do i usually never take the comments to heart.. But i am so fed up. First of all- everyone needs to stop putting me and my siblings and me and my mother in competition. I believe comparison will kill you. Comparison to others is toxic and unhealthy.. As long as I am happy healthy and kind to others why should i care if i am not as 'pretty' as someone else ? Let alone not as 'pretty' as my own blood relatives? Secondly- Pushing down the school i worked my ass off for 4 years to get into, saying its for do-nothing trust fund babies, is not only stereotyping a scholastic community but is just plain incorrect and rude! I know many kids enrolled in Parsons who are the most hard working and passionate students in all of new york. And lastly.. The subject i have been meaning to touch on publicly for years- stop. comparing. me. to. my. mother. Believe it or not I am my own person with my own beliefs and own thoughts and my own face! Eyes smile teeth forehead! All mine! The whole shabang! Yes i am so fortunate that my mother is my mother.. And she will always be an inspiration to me... But being constantly compared to her 50+ years of success at only 18 years old? And being told I could never amount to what she was and what she looks like? Doesn't feel great. I just will never understand these people who WANT to make me feel badly, who WANT to tell an 18 year old girl she cant follow her dreams because if she does she WONT BE AS GOOD AS HER MOM WAS. I'm just a person figuring out what i want to do and what makes me happy. Leave me alone. My one wish is that these people can get off their computers, go chase a sunset, kiss someone they love, pursue one of their dreams and STOP making an 18 year old girl feel constantly inferior and hurt. Lets just fuckin spread love you guys. And pleaseeeee stop trolling me. Thank u

I know many kids enrolled in Parsons who are the most hard working and passionate students in all of new york.”

Sailor, who admits she’s “fed up” with haters, also addressed criticism that she’s not as attractive as her mother or siblings.

“I just will never understand these people who WANT to make me feel badly, who WANT to tell an 18 year old girl she cant follow her dreams because if she does she WONT BE AS GOOD AS HER MOM WAS,” she continued. “I'm just a person figuring out what i want to do and what makes me happy. Leave me alone.”

The 18-year-old, who is also a model like her famous mom, is no stranger to bullying. However, Brinkley has always given her solid advice for dealing with haters.

“I tell all my kids: When you achieve any level of success in your life, no matter what it is… it will come with the haters,” Brinkley told People in 2013. “You have to prepare them for that aspect of it.”

“All you can have is pity for the person who spends all day writing [negative things] and you certainly can’t take it personally,” she continued. “It’s a universal issue. It’s not just aimed at you. Everyone from everywhere is affected by this.”

Clearly Brinkley is one wise mama.

Gigi Hadid Shuts Down Body-Shamers With One Powerful Comment

$

She may be one of the biggest supermodels in the world, but even Gigi Hadid has to deal with annoying body-shamers on social media.

Earlier this week, the 21-year-old blond bombshell posted a 'gram of her reflection while on vacation. In a sea of positive comments praising Hadid's beauty, one Internet troll stood out from the rest, deeming her too thin...

A photo posted by Gigi Hadid (@gigihadid) on

And that's when Gigi personally responded.

"It’s called growing up," she wrote. "I loved my body as a 17-year-old athlete and I love my body now. Yes, I’ve lost some 'baby fat,' but muscle mass from my intensive volleyball training in high school has changed over the years into lean muscle from boxing, and work stress can have its affect [sic], but purposefully changing my body has never been my thing. I still eat what I want, I’m still strong, and I’m still healthy."

A photo posted by Gigi Hadid (@gigihadid) on

"Your comment won’t get me down," she continued. "But next time, please think about the young women who may read body-judgement comments and judge themselves as they see their bodies growing and therefore naturally changing, too."

Nearly a year ago, during Paris Fashion Week, Gigi was fighting a similar battle when body-shamers on Instagram posted negative comments about her appearance and size, criticizing her for having a body that's curvier than the average high fashion model.

This led the Tommy Hilfiger model and collaborator to take to Instagram and address the haters in the most gracious way possible. Hadid posted a note calling out the trolls, saying that even though she's not immune to their negativity, she's not going to change herself and she's not going to quit.

A photo posted by Gigi Hadid (@gigihadid) on

"I represent a body image that wasn't accepted in high-fashion before, and I'm very lucky to be supported by the designers, stylists, and editors that I am: ones that know this is fashion, it's art; it can never stay the same," she writes. "If you don't like it, don't follow me, don't watch me, cause I'm not going anywhere."

And leave it up to Hadid to be the biggest body champion of all, constantly celebrating the bodies of her fellow Hollywood It girls who have also experienced body-shaming.

In a recent Vogue podcast with Helena Suric, Gigi addressed how social media appears to only see two types of bodies: either "fat" or "skinny." But regardless of how people label her body, she'll always brush off the negativity knowing many people have her back, including the designers who book her for their runway shows.

"I’ll post a picture and one person will say I’m too fat and three comments down someone's calling me anorexic. So it happens to everyone. We all go through it and no one’s alone in that for sure."

So how did Hadid celebrate her body-shamer take down? With Nutella, of course.

Laundry Tips That Will Save Your Clothes And Your Time

In the video above by The Washington Post, we discover eight laundry tricks that will help extend the life of your favourite fabrics.

Constantly washing your clothes in cold water? It might be more cost effective but, when it comes to killing bacteria, heat is the way to go. Then again, some clothes hold up better in warm water. To be safe, always check your garment's labels.

And while you're there, double check the drying instructions. Instead of tossing everything in the dryer, separate items by the amount of time they'll take to dry and avoid putting things like towels and gym clothes —which don't require fabric softener — in with items that do.

Kayley Chabot Says Fashion Industry Was To Blame For Her Eating Disorder

$

Former Canadian model Kayley Chabot is coming clean about her battle with eating disorders.

And according to her, the fashion industry was to blame.

Chabot, who has posed for magazines such as Vogue Italia, began her modelling career at just 13-years-old, and two years later was signed by Ford Models in New York — an agency known for discovering top talent like Naomi Campbell, Janice Dickinson and Beverly Johnson.

But while the young superstar-in-the-making was presumably ecstatic to head to the big city, she was met with a bit of a rude awakening once she arrived.

"When I got there the agency was shocked at my size," Chabot shared, according to the Daily Mail. "My hips were 37.5 inches and they needed to be 2.5 inches smaller. They basically told me I needed to lose weight and it was my job to stay thin. I was so young I took it to heart. I heard them call me fat and I pretty much stopped eating."

As a result, the Grande Prairie, Alta., native began taking laxatives, exercising for five hours a day and vomiting in hopes of remaining thin. Chabot also ate less than 500 calories a day, and at one point was even scared to drink water.

#tbt Calvin Klein SS13

A photo posted by Kayley Chabot (@kayleychabot) on

However despite her noticeably smaller frame, she claims no one at the agency ever encouraged her to stop.

"They thought it was just the sacrifice I had to make to become a successful model," Chabot explained, as reported by Metro. "I was just 15 and I was dying."

"At the agency, they put me in a bikini, which I had been dreading because I still thought I was fat, but instead everyone was telling me how thin I was and how amazing it was."

However, in 2014, after a show in Paris, Chabot put a stop to it all and said goodbye to the world of modelling, which she said was the "hardest thing I've ever done."

The now 19-year-old has come a long way since her days on the runway, and uses her experience to help others through social media. She runs both an Instagram page and a YouTube channel where she talks about healthy eating and shares vegan recipes.

But although she's recovered from her hardships, she still holds the modelling industry accountable for promoting unhealthy eating habits and unrealistic body expectations, especially when it comes to scouting young girls.

"I think if I had been older, it wouldn't have been so bad," she told the Daily Mail. "I was only 13 when I started in the industry and I believed anything people told me — that's the biggest problem for most young girls in the industry. We forget it's a business and not everyone has your best interest in mind, instead in their pocketbooks."

And unfortunately, Chabot isn't the only one who has called out the fashion industry for promoting poor eating habits.

British model Georgina Wilkin shared her a similar personal story with The Times U.K. back in 2013.

"My agent told me I looked great when I hadn’t eaten for 48 hours," she told the publication. "At one point I was hospitalized because I was so ill — a few weeks later I was booked for a Prada campaign."

And like Chabot, Wilkin has since moved on from modelling, and is now working to raise awareness around these issues with Beat, a U.K.-based organization working to overcome eating disorders.

Nickelback's Chad Kroeger And His Hair Throughout The Years

Out of Hanna, Alta., comes one man who has not only had his hair compared to Mr. Noodles, but also to Jesus.

He may have never "made it as a wise man" and he "couldn't cut it as a poor man stealing," but he has blessed us all with a million hair memes.

Yup, it's Nickelback's Chad Kroeger. The man, the myth, the Canadian legend.

Chad and his Canadian bandmates first made it on the scene with their hit rock song "How You Remind Me" back in 2001. Admit it, you loved that song at the time even though you claim to hate it now. It's okay, we get it.

Since entering the spotlight a mere 15 years ago, a lot of people have insulted Kroeger's hair. We can't think any other musician has seen so much scrutiny when it comes to his or her mane.

chad kroeger

Yet, many have appreciated the tresses of the guy who once did a duet with Carlos Santana.

Chad's mop is dyed an interesting yellow blond. His long curls cascading just above his shoulders and effortlessly parted in the middle. A signature look, some might say.

The Nickelback frontman admitted in an interview in 2013 that he had a few rebellious 'do years back in the day.

"Everyone’s allowed to walk around with a bad-hair day for a couple of years," Kroeger told the Edmonton Journal in 2003. "I didn’t want to cut it, I was holding on to it like it was my ‘(screw) you.’ But I look back and watch the How You Remind Me video and think, ‘Good Lord, boy. You look 40 years old.’ I’m 28. I shot the video when I was 26 and people are like, ‘You’re 35? 36?’ I’m like: ‘OK, Hair’s gotta go.'"

And off the hair went. The curls were chopped. The look was smoother. Chad became a whole new man.

So, here it is everyone: The hair evolution of Chad Kroeger. Just 'cause. We hope you enjoy.

The Making Of A Fashion Shoot Campaign

$

I'm certain I wasn't the only one to rip out my favourite fashion ads from the pages of major glossies, plastering them all over my bedroom walls and locker in my youth. I can still remember the gritty, greige CK images juxtaposed against the bright, ebullient and naughty Dolce & Gabbana shots.

Those ads were pure magic: instantly flinging myself far from fifth grade science class (where I would often sneak in magazines to read instead of following the far less illuminating lesson) I would revel in the delight of Gisele's exceptional ability to make me fall in love with textures and textiles I didn't know anything about, and began to truly appreciate Steven Miesel's sheer talent (also knowing nothing about the legendary photographer at the time; it was Versace's SS 1999 campaign).

2016-08-19-1471566015-8000184-glamping.jpg

Fast-forward to 2010, and Dsqaured2's girls are languorously lounging in the cheeky, Canadiana-esque glamping collection across my MacBook's desktop background; today, I'm still in love with fashion ads. I've had the absolute pleasure to witness a few fashion magazine shoots firsthand -- previously working at some of those major glossies had its perks! But a fashion shoot for a spread is inherently different than a campaign shoot.

When I had the opportunity to learn how renowned, esteemed and amazingly talented and successful designer Alice McCall shot her Cruise Collection (available beginning October) campaign, I jumped at the chance to get a glimpse. Shot with mega model Lindsey Wixson by world-class photographer Emma Summerton at The Goldstein Residence in LA, the superfluously glamorous maison high up in the prestigious Beverly Crest (overlooking the illustrious Beverly Hills), this is how a fantastical fashion dream becomes a reality.

"I couldn't be happier with how everything came together," the designer, Alice McCall shared. "I think the most exciting part was working with such strong international creative team with the likes of Emma Summerton and Lindsey Wixson.

" But creating a fabulous fashion campaign isn't only joy and excitement; McCall describes the process: "We probably started planning 3 or 4 months before the shoot day. It all started with the photographer -- I knew I wanted to work with Emma; she is such a talented creative. We worked together years ago, so it was really nice to reconnect. With Emma locked in, we could really start brainstorming creative elements, such as talent and location. Emma is based in LA, so it made sense to shoot there from a perspective of convenience, and on top of that, the Resort collection really resonates with the city -- the colours are bright, and the fabrications are so detailed and intricate."

2016-08-19-1471566289-3848231-Alice1.jpg

As for the quintessentially LA glam location? "Goldstein House is such an iconic estate. I really wanted the shoot to have this 1970s retro, skater-girl vibe with bright colours and lots of contrast, and I met with Emma the day before the shoot to discuss these creative concepts and what I wanted to achieve. We collectively decided that while Goldstein House is fantastic, the interiors were not quite right, so we ended up shooting the whole campaign outside on the driveway and tennis court. I styled the shoot myself, so a lot of prep work went into that side of the campaign, too. It was all about the socks -- it really helped achieve that quirky girl meets 70s skater girl vibe I was looking for."

Working with such a highly respected and experienced model was a highlight, too: "for talent, Lindsey was always a favourite -- she is the epitome of cool girl meets high fashion. She was a dream to work with, and really encompasses the Alice-girl. For one of the shots, we had the image in the first shot! I have never really seen that happen before."

And it's evident Wixson is far from the only one emulating the Alice-girl these days: "right now, the brand is stronger than ever. We're now stocked in major international department stores, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, and most recently, Liberty. I really wanted this campaign to have an international appeal, and to coincide with this recent expansion."

2016-08-19-1471566350-4269512-Alice2.jpg

To get the Alice-girl Cruise Collection look down, Los Angeles based hair stylist (whom the likes of tremendously fabulous tressed Nicole Richie, Emily Ratajkowski and Kate Bosworth trust their strands with) shares how he created the look on set: "I started off by prepping Lindsay's hair with Bumble and Bumble's Thickening Spray, and using a medium-sized round brush to set the hair for volume. Next, I sprayed her hair with Oribe Superfine, and then curled 1-inch sections using a 3/4-inch marcel curling iron. Once her hair was curled, I sprayed Sachajuan Volume Powder throughout and raked it through using my fingers to finish the look and add fluffy texture. The collection is very 70s, so it only makes sense that Lindsey's hair look would be inspired by some of the classic beauties of that era, like Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall."

As for channelling that Alice-girl glow? Backstage pro and profound protégé of makeup God/ess Tom Pecheux and Pat McGrath, Natasha Severino details the products and method she used: "Lindsey's skin was prepped using Sisley Paris skincare products. First, we started by gently buffing her skin with a Clarisonic and Sisley's Cleansing Milk with Sage to polish and 'wake up' the skin. The cleanser was removed using the brand's Floral Spray Mist, which is a product that is also great for refreshing the face throughout the day. Sisley's Express Flower Gel and Eye Contour Mask were applied for all day hydration in the hot Los Angeles sun, and their SUNLEYA SPF 50 was used on top to protect skin from the sun. We also used Sisley's Nutritive Lip Balm to moisturize lips throughout the day."

2016-08-19-1471566407-8979141-Alice3.jpg

As for cosmetics, "for a dewy and creamy effect on the skin, Cle de Peau Radient Fluid Foundation and their concealer was used to eliminate any redness and to conceal any darkness under the eyes. For any imperfections or blemishes, I used Bobbi Brown's Creamy Concealer. For the eyes, a wash of MAC Era eyeshadow was used all over. Then, I lined the top and bottom lash line with MAC Chromagrafic Pencil in Black, and rubbed a brush and cotton tips back and forth to lend a sultry, worn-in look. Intensity and shape was added to the top lash line using MAC Creme Liner, and lashes were loaded with MAC Haute and Naughty Mascara in Black Black. For cheeks, I softly contoured with MAC Taupe, and lips were stained with MAC Brew and Frou Frou."

2016-08-19-1471566454-5420342-Alice4.jpg

Creating the beautiful, playful and exuberant images was an enjoyable assignment for everyone involved, Serevino conveyed: "Working with Alice and Emma on this shoot was great fun! There was a very free and organic flow to the day and how the images evolved. On campaign shoots, there is often a lot of pressure to deliver a certain amount of images, which can affect the quality of a shoot. Alice wanted to keep a very calm, creative energy to the day, allowing Emma the freedom to let pictures naturally evolve for the campaign. The team was amazing and the images are beautiful, and a great day was had by all!"

Famous fashion favourites stepped out in an array of outfits this week, and we're here to break it all down for you.

Hey fashion world, just a reminder that Amy Schumer is here to slay.

The actress was snapped in not one, but two winning looks this week while in New York City promoting her new book "The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo."

First came the little black jumpsuit, a look that showed Schumer's effortless elegance. The piece featured wide-leg bottoms and a perfectly-fitted halter neckline. Pairing the ensemble with a pair of tortoiseshell sunnies and black strappy heels, the 35-year-old comedian left her long, wavy hair down.

And then came the frontal slit. Amy's next look saw her in a outfit that screamed "boss." Sporting a white skirt with a racy slit, she paired it with a half-sleeve top and killer heels. She also kept her makeup simple with a nude lip and highlighted cheek.

Who else slayed this week? Natalie Portman and Karlie Kloss.

We saw Portman return to the red carpet in an elegant ivory Dior gown that screamed "Black Swan."

And Kloss owned her street style look, which included the greatest pair of pants we've ever seen.

Rihanna Goes To Berlin To Take A Photo With A Statue Of Herself, Because She's Rihanna

When you're Rihanna, people do wonderful things for you.

Like, you know, build gigantic statues of you for all of Berlin to see. No biggie.

And the singer got to check it all out in person at the ninth Berlin Biennale for Contemporary Art earlier this week after playing a show in Germany's capital a day prior.

Watch this:

Yup, that's a hella big statue of a headless badgalriri wearing an itty-bitty, floral print bikini. And the artist didn't leave out any details — giant statue Rihanna has all the same tattoos as RL Rihanna.

And in typical Rihanna fashion, the 28-year-old pop goddess documented her visit to the glorious piece of art via Snapchat. For the occasion, she wore a matching neon green blazer and skirt, and topped the look off with a black cap.

"Went to visit my boobs, the biggest they'll ever be," Riri wrote.

The statue, titled "Ewaipanoma (Rihanna)," was created by Colombian artist Juan Sebastián Peláez, who seems to have met the "Good Girl Gone Bad" artist during her Berlin visit, Cosmopolitan reports.

Fall Fashion 2016: The Best Jackets For Every Type Of Temperature

$

Transitioning between seasons is tricky business.

Most Canadians are well aware that the weather isn't always consistent. The weeks that lead from summer to fall can range from scorching hot days that call for tank tops and patio drinks, to chilling sweater weather in an abrupt second. There's really no rhyme or reason, but it's what we've come to know (and love?) about our beloved Canadian climate.

Layering has always been a fine piece of advice to get you through the fluctuating temperatures. And a key component of any great fall wardrobe is, of course, a solid fall jacket. In fact, we recommend several so you can keep up with the changing temperatures.

Based on past experience, you're going to want at least three jackets to get you through the turbulent transition in style.

Here's our temperature-based guide to fall outerwear:

Still feeling like summer (20 degrees +)

aritzia jacket
Babaton Keith Jacket, $195. Available at Aritzia.

These are the days you'll savour when September rolls around and the days that manage to crack 20 degrees are few and far between. You can probably go without a jacket, but it can still feel a little chilly when it's 20 degrees and the humidex is MIA.

You'll want a super lightweight jacket that will keep the subtle chill at bay, but won't make you sweat. Bonus points if you can fold it up and place it in your purse when the temperature unexpectedly rises.

Fall chill (10 to 15 degrees)

oak and fort jacket
Oak + Fort Coat 4090, $148. Available at Oak + Fort.

Only Canadians will venture out for patio drinks in 10 degree weather, which means a slightly heartier fall jacket is required for this temperature range.

The air is crisp and you might be thinking that it's a better idea to hunker down in Starbucks with an apple cider, but winter is coming and you refuse to waste any time indoors when you can still endure sitting outside.

Besides, being seen in your chic new fall outerwear will make it that much more enjoyable.

Feeling like winter (under 10 degrees)

lacoste
Lacoste Women's Tweed Double Breasted Coat, $895. Available at Lacoste.

If you're like us, you're terrified of cold temperatures, and you might be tempted to break out your floor length parka when it hits 10 degrees. However, more sensible folks will realize that while it's chilly, a winter parka might be a tad aggressive.

These fall jackets are perfectly suitable for milder winter days as well, and you can easily wear them again when winter transitions to spring.

Shop more jackets for every fall temperature below!

Ariel Winter Wants Everyone To Chill Out About Her Cheeky Photos

This just in, folks: Everyone has a butt.

And actress Ariel Winter isn't afraid to show hers off — she just wants you to stop talking about it.

"Everybody is so hyped up on the fact that I post photos where my butt's out. It's a butt. Everyone has a butt," she told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday. "I don't think it's crazy."

"I'm not going to fight with someone on my Instagram that tells me they don't like my outfit or I should put my butt away," the 18-year-old continued. "I'm sorry you think I should put my butt away, but just unfollow me."

2 million!!! Wow! I can't believe it...love you guys so much ❤️ #thankyou #love

But while she may be catching some flak for showing off her backside now, dealing with body shamers isn't anything new for the "Modern Family" star.

Back in June, Winter took some heat for wearing a cut-out, blush dress to her graduation party.

A photo posted by Ariel Winter (@arielwinter) on

"What does your dad say about this hooker dress?" one user wrote.

"So trashy and unrefined. You look like a porn star. What's happening to you? Oh I guess you just realized you had boobs? 2.4 billion other women on this planet have boobs too," another troll commented.

However, despite the hate, the star didn't back down and responded to the naysayers via Twitter.

"Dear sorry body-shamers," she tweeted. "I looked HOT in that dress. And if you hate it, don't buy it. But please get a hobby. XOXO Ariel #EmbraceYourBody"

Luckily, Winter has some great women in her life to look up to that have taught her to be proud of her body, she also told ET.

"I really had the greatest opportunity to have some wonderful role models, especially Sofia Vergara," Winter shared. "Working with a curvy beautiful woman that everybody looked up to and loved the way she looked… that was my inspiration to move forward and accept myself because that's what matters."

Right on, Ariel!

Growing Up As A Brown Girl, I Was Used To Being Called 'Fat'

$

0
As a child, my body was similar to a lot of my South Asian friends: I was skinny, flat-chested and uncomfortably hairy. I never considered myself to be "too skinny," but I remember being reminded (read: judged) by South Asian aunties, including my mom of course, of how I looked.

I had no curves as an awkward pre-teen. I was told I wouldn't look good in a saree and at a time when Bollywood stars weren't super thin, I didn't feel like I would grow into what I thought was a "normal" body of an Indian woman.

As a child of immigrants being raised with these values, I believed this was how South Asians -- and the rest of Toronto -- talked about bodies.

The words "fat" and "skinny" were thrown around my community like "hello" and "goodbye." It wasn't considered rude to call someone fat, it wasn't awkward to tell someone they gained weight to their face; and instead of focusing on eating healthily or exercising, I would hear people suggest skipping meals and fad diets like it was a one-stop easy fix.

arti patel
Arti as a child.

As a child of immigrants being raised with these values, I believed this was how South Asians -- and the rest of Toronto -- talked about bodies.

The first time I really gained weight was in sixth grade and I was over 100 pounds. It was the first time I was aware of my body. I noticed my pants no longer fit, my stomach grew and I wasn't flat chested anymore. In seventh grade, I took a family trip to India and my weight was the hot topic. Family members I hadn't seen in years commented on how "fat" I had become; and when I walked into stores to buy sarees or lenghas, store owners told my mom it wouldn't look good on me or fit. It was blunt, but it was normal.

It was the first time the attention directed at my body hurt me. I started noticing the weight of my friends, and like a jerk, I thought skinnier was more attractive. I began carefully looking at the bodies of my favourite singers at the time, like Britney Spears or members of the Spice Girls, and I told myself, at age 13, I had to be skinny again.

During my time in India, I ended up getting really sick, so sick that I lost about 20 pounds. At that time, I was grateful, even though I spent weeks puking and feeling like shit. It was stupid, but I thought being sick was the best thing that could've happened to my body.

I came back to Toronto with a new body and a new mindset -- this was the new me and I would never be mocked for the size of my body again.

But as years went on, I had fully outgrown my teenage frame, my body looked like a woman's body and I was a lot more aware of my self-esteem. I got more familiar with the Canadian way of talking about weight and although women are judged, shamed and ridiculed for not looking a certain way all the time, I had learned weight was not something you brought up in conversation, and describing people as "fat" or "huge" were just plain mean.

arti patel
Arti in grade 8.

Accepting my body was a process, there was no easy fix, and even today I don't always feel perfectly content when I look in the mirror. It took a stupid liquid diet, a ton of reading on body image and a lot of body-positive friends to change my views on what I considered beautiful. I had great high school teacher who really opened my mind up about unrealistic beauty standards and fat shaming and I stopped thinking about weight, listening to rude brown aunties and was just comfortable in my own skin.

But at home, however, weight is still talked about the same, but the reasons I had to lose weight or maintain it was starting to change. Losing weight or staying skinny or having fairer skin, wasn't about body confidence, but rather about finding a husband.

When I tell some of my friends how my mom, for example, obsesses over the "perfect body," a lot of them wonder why I don't just tell her off.

I remember toxic conversations when brown aunties would talk about how "fat" women have to settle for uglier men and if I wasn't careful, I would end up with an older man. Skinny wasn't only beautiful, it was more likely to end in a marriage, too.

I am 27 today, single and the heaviest I've ever been at a size 10. I don't consider myself "fat" or "plus-size," I actually hate using these words to describe a person's body, unless people are comfortable or own these labels.

arti patel
Arti in 2016.

When I tell some of my friends how my mom, for example, obsesses over the "perfect body," a lot of them wonder why I don't just tell her off. I am not a very upfront person and for most of my life, I just took it. I knew this was just the typical South Asian way of thinking and although it was frustrating at times, I knew I couldn't change people's values, but the best thing I could do was be comfortable and confident with myself.

I recently got into going on long walks in my neighbourhood with a friend and a few weeks ago, after taking a three-hour walk I had come home and collapsed on the floor of my room in exhaustion. I was wearing tight gym clothes and was sweaty, yet how I looked was not important.

I was still sitting on the floor when my mom came into my room and the first comment she made was about my weight. She said that personal training was a waste of money (I had a trainer last summer for six months) and that I wasn't losing any weight.

I stared at her, breathing heavily from this insane 10,000 step walk I just conquered, and told her off, for the first time, since I was a kid. I told her to get out of my room, to stop talking about my weight and to never mention how I looked or the gym ever again. My friends laughed when I told them about the incident, telling me it was the nicest way of telling someone off, but that's just me.

My mother didn't say anything, but I knew she felt terrible. It has only been a few weeks and although we don't talk about it or feelings (again, this is typical in South Asian cultures), I noticed she has tried harder to not make comments about my body. Even if she slips sometimes, I know she isn't trying to hurt me, or ever really was.

I have come to realize that the ideal South Asian body type does not exist. It doesn't matter what size you are, someone in the community will try to find a way to bring you down. But here's the thing, there is nothing wrong with being fat, skinny or whatever other label you identify with.

When I see my young nieces, I sometimes wonder how they feel about their bodies when older aunties are around them. The way some South Asians talk about weight isn't going to change anytime soon, but the best thing any of us who've felt frustrated, embarrassed, or yes, even "fat," can do is to not let their words get to us.

It's easier said than done, especially when the voices are loud and constant, but acceptance must begin with ourselves.
